New staff in the OVPS – Magda Tarczynska 

The Office of the Vice-Provost, Students (OVPS) welcomes Magda Tarczynska, who is joining the team in as the Special Projects Officer. 

Working closely with the Executive Directors in OVPS, Robyn Parr and Alexis Archbold, as well as other senior administrators connected with the portfolio, Magda will be supporting project management and implementation across several areas including policy matters, governance pathways, student placements, working committees, and group meetings.  

“I’m stepping into this role with deep curiosity and a strong sense of purpose, “says Magda.  

“The work ahead is complex—but also full of possibility—and I’m excited to help move things forward in ways that are thoughtful, inclusive, and responsive to student realities. The OVPS team is doing incredible work, and I’m beyond excited to contribute to that momentum.”  

Prior to joining the OVPS, Magda served in various roles at the Rotman School of Management for seven years, most recently as the Strategic Initiatives Officer.  

A U of T alumna, Magda earned both a BA and an MA in Sociology with a research focus issue of campus climate, discrimination and inclusion in higher education settings. Her collaborative and positive approach to work is a welcome addition to the OVPS team. 

Her appointment starts in July 2025 and Magda will be located in the OVPS suite of offices, Simcoe Hall, Room 221.
