New staff in the OVPS – Tom Froh

The Office of the Vice-Provost, Students (OVPS) welcomes Tom Froh, who is taking on the role of Project Manager, Continuous Improvement.
Working closely with Robyn Parr, executive director in the OVPS, and collaborating with senior leadership across the portfolio, Tom will be supporting and overseeing initiatives to streamline and enhance processes that will benefit the U of T community and improve the student experience.
“After several years of working primarily on HR-focussed initiatives, I’m very excited to contribute to the academic side of U of T,” says Tom.
“Helping to improve how the various offices of the University engage our students, as well as each other, will be both challenging and rewarding. I look forward to being able to continue the fantastic work of the OVPS and gain first-hand experience of the University’s core purpose.”
Since 2021, Tom has served as the Information & Change Management Consultant within the Strategic Initiatives unit in PSEC and is recognized for his ability to create buy-in around new initiatives through information sharing and consultation.
Prior to his time at U of T, Tom earned a BA and an MA in English at Carleton University and holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Manchester. Tom is also a published author and most recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at U of T.
Tom joins the OVPS as of Monday, July 28 and will be located in the OVPS suite of offices, Simcoe Hall, Room 221.
